There have been questions about waste collection recently. This is a message from Hackney on that topic:

Residents,
Share your views about changes to your waste collections

Hackney Council wants to hear your thoughts on the upcoming changes to your waste collections. You’re invited to register for an online discussion group, taking place on Thursday 15th and Friday 16th October, from 2pm – 3.15pm.

Everyone who participates in a discussion group will receive a £25 Love2Shop voucher just for taking part.
About the changes to waste collections

In spring 2021, Hackney Council will be reducing the frequency of non-recyclable waste collections. This will mean moving collections from every week to every two weeks. This will impact street-level properties (generally houses, or houses that have been converted into flats, which have green sack recycling services) in Hackney.
About the discussion groups

Hackney Council are looking for a diverse range of residents to share their views, specifically in these groups: 18-24 year olds, older people, parents with babies, residents with disabilities and large families. Only residents that receive a street level waste collection can participate.

Don’t forget to register online if you’re interested in taking part: https://bit.ly/3ckiZAa. The discussions will be held online over Zoom, and instructions for joining will be sent by email before each session.
