Expanding allotments for community gardening

The TRA (residents) committee have been working with various Hackney departments to authorise building an additional 8 allotment plots in the central courtyard where there are already allotment plots.

This plan is to ease the waiting list for people wanting plots as well as to create some shared plots that can be used for community gardening events and activities for the wider estate.

The TRA has recently taken over management of the allotment area from the New Build Team and have secured funding towards community gardening events and activities. These new allotment plots are part of that overall plan.

The photos below show the suggested locations of the 8 new plots. They will be filling gaps alongside existing plots.
