We’re taking part in Trick or Eat for Hackney Foodbank this Halloween. There will be a collection box at Hackney Showroom (4 Murrain Road N4 2BN) at 6pm on Saturday October 31st.
Please pop by and drop in some non-perishable food for people experiencing hard times. They’re particularly short of tinned meat and fish and UHT milk but any tins or packets of food will be a great help.
It’s a good alternative way to spend Halloween with the kids in these strange times (although please maintain a distance from other households).

The event is being organised by the Local Buyers Club, a discount card promoting independent businesses (many of them in Hackney and Islington) – if you join the club this month with the code TRICKOREAT they’ll donate £5 to the food bank and give you £2 off the cost of joining (usual price £12 per year).
Demand for Hackney Foodbank has more than doubled since the outbreak of Coronavirus so Trick or Eat is a great way to help! More info on this and the Local Buyers Club is at www.trickoreat.co.uk

There is also a box underneath the Bramfield Court arch, it will be out until 4pm if you want to drop items there.

Collections are also happening in some of the blocks including:

  • Barley
  • Radwell
  • Sandon
