Hackney have informed me about another film crew using the horded area…
Production to pull in on the evening of the 28th August at 2030 and pull out the evening of the 29th August at 2230. Technical vehicles only – no catering on site.

Production including line manager have agreed and signed terms and conditions.

Title of production: Louis Waine
Production company: LOUIS WAIN PRODUCTIONS LTD
Production type: Feature
Synopsis: Louis Wain was an eccentric cat artist whose illustrations captured the hearts of a nation. Spanning his lifetime across the turn of the 19th century, the film follows Louis’ hectic trajectory from supporting five sisters in London, enduring the tragic loss of his wife Emily, to wrestling with a mental illness but never stopped him painting. After an almost farcical number of misfortunes Wain was an eccentric, lovable kind of hero who never stopped fighting for the wonders of life. This film hopes to tell his story in the same way his artwork did; with all of its beautiful, silly, wild, dark, surreal complexity.
Location name: Green Lanes Unit Base
Shoot start: 28/08/2019 20:30
Shoot end: 29/08/2019 22:30

As mentioned in a previous post part of the hoarded area near Green Lanes will be rented out to film production companies to use as a base while filming in the area. Hackney will kindly be sharing 25% of rental income with the residents group. Come along to our next meeting (5th September) to discuss ideas to spend this on! Another 25% with the regeneration team to subsidise things like the new community centre then Hackney will keep 50%.

If you have any concerns there will apparently be contact details for the crew posted on the hoarding. Otherwise contact Ron.Greenwood@hackney.gov.uk
