Kings Crescent has seen some changes in recent weeks…
It is great to see the changes to the play street that residents have been asking for for months! It was a concern that the ‘play’ sections of the road looked just like a road which was dangerous for young children and it meant motorbikes would go through at speed while children were playing. Now the yellow line road markings have been painted over on the ‘play’ section, white lines have been painted onto the road surface to make it look different to the car sections, bell bollards have been put in, and the yellow lines along the car section have been extended to make the road section clearer to motorbikes and young children (see photos). There will also be road signs going in to make it more official looking.
In addition it is great to see new businesses moving in. There is now a unisex hairdresser opposite Costcutter and a new coffee shop on Green Lanes. Sainsburys should also be opening soon.
